Unexpected ‘Part 1’ Tag Added to ‘Rogue Incursion’ Last Minute

When Survios unleashed their highly anticipated horror-shooter, Alien: Rogue Incursion (2024) last week, fans didn’t realize they were stepping into a ‘Part One’ of the series. But rest assured, you’re not just getting a fraction of the experience with your purchase—there’s plenty more on the horizon.

Upon its launch for PC VR and PSVR 2, many players were puzzled by the newly added ‘Part One’ label. Questions arose: is this the full game or is it being broken into episodes?

In our comprehensive review, we rated the eight-hour journey a robust 7 out of 10. The game captivates with its immersive settings and heart-pounding encounters with raptor-like Xenomorph hordes. However, the experience was slightly marred by repetitive enemies and a stringent save system.

Recently, Survios addressed the labeling confusion in a post on X. The studio emphasized that ‘Part One’ was not intended to imply an incomplete release with content being doled out piecemeal. While the standalone story does end on a cliffhanger, it simply signifies part one of a broader two-part narrative.

Excitingly, Survios confirmed last week that Part Two is already in the works, promising "deadlier enemies and more challenging trials.” That’s definitely something for fans to look forward to.

In the meantime, we’re anticipating the Quest release, slated for February 13th, 2025, on Quest 3/3S. As pointed out in our review, the game boasts dynamically loading levels, impressive texture details, and a slew of physics-based interactions. These elements likely contributed to the studio’s decision to delay the Quest version initially.
