Oh man, where do I even start with this? So there’s this new thing, right, it’s called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City. I mean, imagine that. It’s not out yet, just a little sneak peek — kind of like when you’re hungry and you open the fridge even though you know there’s nothing good in there. Well, anyway, it’s on Quest 3, which sounds futuristic or something.
So for all you guys who haven’t been glued to your screens, this game by Cortopia Studios is a first-person thing — kind of like being in the shoes of a giant turtle. Or flippers? Whatever. Play solo or call up three friends to join (if you can find that many willing to listen to your “I just wanna be Donatello!” speech).
Ace St. Germain, who seems to know what he’s talking about, spilled some beans in a developer diary — which sounds like one of those secret journals you kept as a kid. Anyway, he was super excited about how they’ve adapted all this flipping and jumping — picture parkour, but like, you’re also saving the world? Or maybe not. Oh, and he had this wild story about bouncing off a mailbox by accident. Who hasn’t had one of those days, right?
Okay, so they’re calling it “anime parkour,” which feels right. It’s like your body’s on autopilot, which, if you ask me, is pretty handy. Seriously, I’d love to have that feature when I try to navigate the grocery store. There’s sprinting, climbing, and, I guess, whatever “dynoing” is supposed to be. Sounds fun? Oh, and you can use ninja tools. But they left us hanging on what those might be. Thanks, Germain, for teasing like that.
Ghost of Tsushima-inspired, they say. I tried that once; basically, I spent more time admiring the scenery than fighting samurais. Now, you can play as any of the shelled heroes — Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, or Michelangelo. It’s one of those second developer diary things, the first being some concept art last month. Like when you get one potato chip and then the whole bag’s empty.
Anyway — no, wait, what was I saying? Oh yeah, it’s dropping in 2026 on Quest and Steam. Feels like forever, doesn’t it? But hey, maybe the turtles will keep you busy till then. Fingers crossed.
