Okay, so here we go again. Crimson Desert. Yeah, that game they announced back in 2019. You remember, right? It’s like this medieval open-world RPG thing. Anyway, it’s delayed again. Yep, out of 2025 and now maybe sometime in Q1 2026. Classic. I mean, it always feels like it’s just close enough to touch until they yank it away again. Gotta love it. Or not.

I was scrolling through some site—I don’t even know why I remember this—and there’s this image of some character looking all intense. And then I got sidetracked thinking, “Why do all RPG characters have such crazy cheekbones?” But I digress.

Pearl Abyss, who does Crimson Desert, was planning on it being like a prequel or something to Black Desert Online. That idea got tossed out—or morphed really—into this solo RPG. Side note: They compared it to Dragon’s Dogma and Tears of the Kingdom. Don’t ask me the connection. Maybe it’s the vibe. But yeah, delays are kinda becoming a tradition for these guys, huh?

Oh, wait, focus. So they talked about this in their Q2 2025 earnings call. Apparently, stuff like voice-overs and distribution are dragging their feet. Maybe they’re dealing with the same kind of delays some of us face when ordering pizza. Who knows? And for those keeping track, it was meant to drop at the end of 2025. Not a giant leap, just a little hop to early 2026. In the nice way of saying, “You gotta wait more.”

So, if you’re dying to get a sneak peek, there’s a demo at Gamescom 2025. They say the game’s nearly done. Just a few tweaks, it seems. Kinda like when your friend says they’re “almost ready” but still need another hour. Anyway, the demo should give you a taste of what’s coming. Maybe.

One more thing, earlier there was a rumor about a November 2, 2025 release. Pearl Abyss was like, “Nah, we didn’t spill any dates.” I guess November’s off the table now. So much drama over just playing a game, right? At this point, maybe my grandkids will play it before I do.
