Battlefield 6 Insight: Ramblings, Ponderings, and Maybe Some Useful Info Too
Alright, so Battlefield 6 or whatever it’s called nowadays. You’re itching to jump in, I’m sure. Tossing smoke grenades around like confetti sounds fun, right? Anyway, the open beta’s here with some supposed quality tweaks. EA’s trying to make life easier and all that jazz. We’ll see about that.
Now, dive into the nitty-gritty. Everyone’s been hollering for a server browser, and guess what? It’s still MIA. Ugh. But here’s the twist (or not?). EA teased us with something called Custom Search. Basically, pick your maps and modes, and it tries to connect you to a game that tickles your fancy. Exciting? Maybe. But there’s a catch: It’s not a server browser. "Not being tested this week" sounds like EA dangling a possible future feature. Who really knows?
The beta’s tagging along a bunch of stuff. Empire State map, anyone? Different challenges and a sweet rotation of modes. Here’s what EA’s throwing at us, scratch that, they listed it out, day by day:
-
Thursday 14th: Conquest, Rush, Attack & Defend. Breakthrough stuff, right? Also, small map chaos with things like Domination. Sounds… tight.
-
Friday 15th: Conquest and Squad Deathmatch. Close quarters madness again, plus those epic battlegrounds of Conquest and Rush. Weapons blazing, right? Closing in with Closed Weapons All-Out Warfare. Say that three times fast.
- Saturday 16th – Sunday 17th: A bit of everything from the days before. Conquest, smaller maps with King of the Hill (good times!), and the grand scale shenanigans.
EA’s trying to stay "in touch" with us players. Switching stuff up daily—cool, if they don’t fumble it. Keeps them on their toes, you know?
And about the kill times—yep, they heard us cringe about ’em. They’re throwing in infantry-only modes to maybe give off a CoD vibe. Depends on your taste, I guess. Oh, and the cheaters. Thousands of them apparently. EA’s on it, or so they say. Let’s hope they actually do something.
Alright, mark your calendars: the beta kicks off Thursday, Aug 14, at 1am PDT. Early birds and night owls, take note.
Might be a wild ride—or a total wreck. Either way, there you have it.
