Sure thing. Here’s a more chaotic, human-like version:

August 12th was a bit of a mixed bag for fans of Subnautica, wasn’t it? Unknown Worlds decided to roll out updates for both Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero. Not just bug fixes, but the first Subnautica got this snazzy new controller support if you’re playing on Steam or Epic. Now, the PS5 DualSense or the Xbox controllers are in on the action. Why they took this long, I don’t know. Maybe they were busy swimming with the Sea Treaders? Those things are majestic, or I’m just easily entertained.
Interestingly, all this happens while there’s this legal storm brewing. Unknown Worlds, or what’s left of its old leadership, took a swing at Krafton in court. Something about $250 million being tied up because Subnautica 2 got shoved to 2026. Why is everything always about the money? Imagine if Sea Treaders cared about our legal dramas.
The patch notes for both games? Well, where to start? For Below Zero, they finally fixed how the Snowfox, that little land vehicle, decided it had no clue where it was going. They even added a news feed pop-up like we’re checking stock updates or something. But, odd enough, the Nintendo Switch didn’t get the love. No updates for you, Switch players! Someone should tell Unknown Worlds that Switch players have feelings too.
Speaking of updates, did you ever try building a SeaBase inside the Cyclops? Apparently, the game would freeze. I mean, who would’ve thought putting a base in a submarine might glitch out? It’s a wonder what goes through the minds when designing these games. They cleaned up a bunch of controller issues too. Thanks, Unity input update, I guess.
But wait, let’s not forget that Below Zero’s Snowfox was corrected so it wouldn’t hurl you off when an Ice Worm decided to say hello. Somebody figured 100% chance was too cruel. Now it’s just 25%. Progress!
The chaos leading up to Subnautica 2’s delay doesn’t seem to deter Unknown Worlds from playing with its current toys. Let’s hope they drop more patches. Maybe by then, the Sea Treaders will start making legal decisions. Now, wouldn’t that be something?
