While the Envy x360 has a lot going for it, the display might not suit everyone. The 1920×1200 (FHD+) resolution with touch functionality and 300 nits of brightness is fine for regular users, but certain tasks require something sharper. That’s where the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i 16 (Gen 9) makes its entrance.

Now, despite its name, the Yoga Pro 9i isn’t a convertible. So if you’re interested in occasionally using your laptop like a tablet, sticking with the Envy x360 might be best. However, in nearly every other regard, it’s an upgrade. The keyboard comes with a number pad, the touchpad is expansive, and, like the Envy, it features top-firing speakers. Similarly robust in the port department, it also provides Thunderbolt 4, HDMI 2.1, and several USB-A slots.

But the real stars of the show are the performance and the display. The Yoga Pro 9i is powered by a more robust Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, making it an AI PC, alongside a discrete NVIDIA RTX 4050 Laptop GPU for a much-needed graphics boost.

Its 32GB of RAM comes in the faster LPDDR5x-7467MHz variant, but you only get a 1TB M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. However, storage can be expanded post-purchase. As for the display, it pops with a 3200×2000 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits brightness, not to mention touch functionality.
