So, Meta did this thing. You know, in their endless quest to make the metaverse a thing everybody talks about at dinner. They’ve thrown out some fancy AI features for Horizon Worlds – their desktop editor deal. Supposedly to help folks build snazzier places in this digital universe or whatever.
Anyway, they dropped a blog post, because how else do you make something official these days? They’re going on about two shiny new tools: ‘Creator Assistant’ and ‘Style Reference’. Sounds like something I’d name a new file folder, but here we are. These tools are supposed to make life easier for creators or something, to kinda speed up the whole world-building thing.
Creator Assistant – catchy, right? It’s like having a buddy who knows stuff. They’re calling it “context-aware,” which is a fancy way of saying it can help you figure things out, set up without headaches, and even toss in some script ideas. Basically, it talks to you in regular words, which is neat if you’re not always in AI mode.
Oh, there’s a picture too, showing all this jazz in Horizon’s editor. (Meta’s handout, not mine!)
The gist, though, is that Creator Assistant is supposed to cut down on time — less fuss, more fun, they say. Perfect if you’re working solo or in a tiny team and don’t want to pull your hair out over tricky details.
Then there’s Style Reference. It’s meant to help you keep everything looking and sounding coherent, like your whole project’s got its act together. So you can spend more time playing with ideas, not fighting with settings and stylesheets.
Plus, these tools are rolling out beyond the usual crowd. Folks in places like India, Brazil, Mexico, and parts of the EU are now in the loop. More countries are coming on board soon.
Oh! And guess what? More AI goodies in the editor, like 3D mesh creation, typescript code spinning, and even sky soundscapes. It’s like they thought of everything—hit up the Gen AI help guide if you’re super into features.
So yeah, that’s the lowdown. Meta doing that Meta thing, making the brave new metaverse slightly less, uh, mythical?
