As you start, you’ll be guided through the tutorial in Casual Mode to help you get familiar with the game’s mechanics. However, if Simulation Mode calls to you afterward, be forewarned that it strips away on-screen markers and hand-holding, making tasks noticeably tougher and potentially turning operations into a more tedious experience. Remember, switching between modes isn’t something you can do on the fly—head back to the main menu if you want to change your mind.

Kicking off your journey, you’ll get to create your own character, selecting either a male or female avatar. There are presets for looks, civil clothing, hairstyle, and eye color, allowing you to put a personal touch on your in-game persona. You can jazz things up by triggering the siren and lights, making your patrols feel urgent and realistic.

There’s also the chance to operate drones and helicopters, which adds another layer of depth to gameplay. These machines come with their own set of controls, enabling you to scout areas from above, marking and unmarking targets with impressive precision. Inside the police stations, bizarre lighting effects can make navigation tricky, and characters suffer from stiff animations that detract from immersion.
