Alright, so imagine this: Oblivion, that game from way back when, with all its factions and quests and whatnot. Remember that? Yeah, so the Fighters Guild—those hammer-swinging maniacs—they’re somehow the only main questline where you don’t feel out of place smashing things with a gigantic warhammer. Weird, right? Anyway, there’s this modder, ColdTyrant—cool name, by the way—who’s made something super interesting. Like, I might actually stop sneaking around as an archer—maybe. Maybe not.
So, just recently, like literally yesterday, this ColdTyrant dude or dudette dropped a mod for the Dark Brotherhood. It’s sick, lets you keep assassinating forever with some gacha-style rewards thrown in. And then today—bam!—another mod! This time for the Fighters Guild. Spoiler: there’s a beef with tree sap drinkers. Yeah, that’s a thing now.
The new addition is called ‘Fighter’s Guild – Infinitum.’ Catchy, huh? It gives you over 100 repeatable contracts—monster hunting style. It’s like, finally, the Fighters Guild gets a system where you can go out, whack a glowing monster (literally, they glow so you can’t miss them), and snag a reward.
Quick side note: Sadly, it seems there’s no gacha loot this time. Nope, just straight-up gold—500 smackers per contract—and some special tokens or whatever they call them—Fighter’s Commendations—for gear from a new store. And get this: they’ve made the guildhall homier somehow by changing NPC schedules. Nice touch if you’re into that whole living-in-the-guild vibe.
Anyway, sounds awesome, right? If you’re into the whole Witcher-esque lifestyle, this might be your jam. Let’s face it, in Oblivion, your character probably already looks a bit monstrous, so fitting right in as a monster hunter seems legit.
Oh, and if you wanna dive into this Fighter’s Guild – Infinitum, you’ll need a couple of things: Oblivion Remastered’s UE4SS and that TesSyncMapInjector thingy. Just a heads-up.
There’s also some buzz about ColdTyrant’s next project, maybe something for the Arena? Fingers crossed. If you join the Fighters Guild, say hi to Modryn Oreyn for me, okay? And hey—keep up with our mods coverage—because Oblivion’s still alive and kicking.
