Oof, here we go. So, Big Pikachu — seriously, who names these things? — had a ton of updates, and my brain’s still trying to wrap around it all.
First off, we got some new Z-A stuff (like, what’s that even mean?) and a big shindig for Pokemon Go. But! There was more. Like, way more. Imagine getting pizza and finding surprise toppings — that kind of more.
So apparently, this game called “Pokemon Friends” popped up on the iOS App Store. Totally a whoopsie reveal before it was officially announced at the Pokemon Presents. But hey, it’s out there now, also hitting Switch and Android. It’s one of those puzzle games. You know the type — solve stuff to make Pokemon plushes or something. And of course, they’ve got all those microtransactions, selling puzzles like hotcakes. It’s, like, $9.99 on the eShop. I might’ve remembered that wrong, but close enough, right?
And then, oh man, they talked about the 2025 World Championships. Mid-August. “Championship Sunday” in Anaheim. The Honda Center’s the arena, didn’t it used to be called the Arrowhead Pond? Fun fact: that’s where the Anaheim Ducks do their hockey thing. Random memory there.
Next, the Pokemon Concierge series on Netflix is gearing up for season two on September 4. They’ve got another series coming in 2027. Aardman’s on it — you know, those folks who made Shawn the Sheep. “Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu.” What a mouthful.
Right, so Tokyo’s getting a PokePark Kanto amusement park in early 2026. Probably celebrating 30 years — now I feel old. Oh, and Pokemon Masters EX is dropping Carmine from Scarlet and Violet’s DLC on July 30. Almost forgot — Pokemon Cafe Remix? Some cute ocean-themed event happening — Lapras and Totodile in costumes. Adorable.
Jumping again, Latias is crashing into Pokemon Unite on August 8. They’re even setting up this “Electrode Volleyball” mode. Sounds explosive, pun intended.
And cards! Those Mega Evolution card sets — already sold out, shocker. They showed off a few. Then Scarlet and Violet have these raid battles tomorrow against the “Treasures of Ruin” legendaries. Got to beat them a million times to snag shiny versions. Wild, right? And don’t get me started on the themed Mass Outbreaks.
Oh, almost missed mentioning Pokemon Champions. There’s this feature to rent Pokemon or fiddle with their nature and stuff in 2026. That’s a heads-cratcher, honestly. Probably connecting to Pokemon Home too. Anyway, brain’s fried from all that info. Time for a coffee.
