Sure thing, let’s dive in.

Okay, so grab your favorite snacks and settle in because here’s what’s shaking in the Pokémon universe, and yeah, it’s kind of exciting. You know, The Pokémon Company International? Well, they’ve got this new thing called the Wisdom of Sea and Sky or something, and it’s heading to Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket next week. Honestly, I may have misheard, but that’s the gist, I think.
Mark your calendars or don’t—it’s happening Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, which feels far off but also like it’s tomorrow? Strange how time works sometimes. Anyway, it’s bringing back those classic Johto region Pokémon, the ones that probably made you smile if you played Gold and Silver. Remember Chikorita, Cyndaquil, and Totodile? And, oh boy, Lugia and Ho-Oh are making an entrance too. Not sure why, but thinking about them makes me nostalgic. Probably because, you know, childhood memories and all that jazz.
Here’s the kicker—or maybe it’s just a minor detail, who knows. Pokémon with no Energy attack requirements are also debuting. Kinda cool, right? It’s like when you find money in your coat pocket. New strategies for deck building and battling? Yes, please. Or no, maybe. Depends on your mood.
And, speaking of updates, let’s talk trades. They’ve got this Wishlist Feature now—or it’ll be coming with the update, I guess. You can put down what cards you’re itching for, up to 20 of them. If only life had such lists, right? Plus, you can mark three of those as super special on your profile. Not sure why I find this funny, but maybe it’s because it reminds me of choosing a favorite child. Awkward.
Trade tokens? Yeah, they’re outta here. Won’t need them to trade cards anymore, but you’ll need shinedust for some rarities. Like, who comes up with this stuff? Get shinedust by completing missions, earning achievements, or by… surprise, surprise… hoarding duplicates. Feels kind of like real life again. Practically hear those cards whisper “collect us, all of us,” whenever I open a new pack.
Oh, and heads up, trade tokens stop being exchangeable for your cards right after this update hits at some unholy early hour, UTC time, as usual. Not that anyone’s keeping track. Just hope you’ve got shinedust to spare, because they said something about exchanging tokens for pack hourglasses or something. Sounds… magical? Maybe.
And if you’re somehow missing all this, I should mention that Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket’s chilling out on the App Store for Apple folks and Google Play for Android peeps. Quite convenient, I suppose.
Got a trailer for this whole Wisdom of Sea and Sky deal too, but you’ll have to find that nugget of info somewhere else. YouTube, probably. But you didn’t hear it from me. Or did you? Anyway, stay curious!

There it is. Enjoy!
