Okay, so XR Games just dropped a bomb, right? Their game, BEATABLE, finally wiggled its way out of early access on Quest. And man, there’s a heap of new stuff. If you’ve ever caught yourself drumming on your desk — trust me, you’re gonna love this. No controllers, just the Quest 2. I know, kind of wild, right? You’re smacking your desk like a maniac, hitting notes, clapping into the air like you’re in some surreal concert.
So, besides its epic escape from early access, Beatable gets this chunky update. Remember back in April when they threw in five songs? Yeah, that was just a taste. Now we get the full buffet.
And what’s with the new features? Oh, just a little thing called a custom song and map editor! Now it’s like, “Hey, I can make my own tune and show off to my friends.” Or maybe just embarrass yourself when nobody gets your vibe. But still, kinda cool.
The song list is pumping now, with a full 24 tracks. Half of those were around during the early days, but the list just got a major glow-up. They’ve even got a jam by Kudo Haruka that gives off anime vibes, and a banger by Mikee Goodman from SikTh. Go groove on Spotify if you’re curious. Or not. Whatever floats your boat.
Anyway, back in April we gave this game a whirl and figured out the precision needed work. Like, you’d miss beats and it was frustrating. But with the new launch update, they’ve spruced up the gesture system. So now, they say, you’re supposed to nail every beat. Or miss every beat equally, maybe. Who knows?
Oh, and visuals are tuned up, too. Thank goodness, right? It’s always better when things look pretty when you’re flailing around like a lunatic.
What’s it gonna cost you? Just a tenner, over at the Horizon Store for Quest 2 and up. Go, check it out, or just dream about it. Whatever makes you happy.
