Oh wow, so here’s the scoop. So, the bigwigs at Sumo Group, y’know the game developer folks from the UK, are stepping down after, get this, 22 years. Two decades plus two—mind blown, right?
Picture this: a release comes flying out to investors. CEO Carl Cavers, COO Paul Porter, and Darren Mills—the director of excellence and integration (what a title!)—are calling it quits. Yeah, I know, sounds heavy. So now, the big chairs are up for grabs. Who gets them? CFO Andy Stewart and this guy Gary Dunn, who just leveled up to chief operating officer. Team effort, I guess?
Oh, and Tim Repa-Davies (he’s the brain on all things legal), well, he’s now on the board. Pretty neat ladder climb.
Cavers, maybe wiping a tear or not, says something like, “Leaving something you’ve nurtured for 20 years is a real doozy, seriously. But hey, it feels right.” Dude’s proud, and why wouldn’t he be?
And Stewart jumps in, all optimistic, saying, “Sumo’s just evolving naturally, no stress. We’re sticking to our guns, building off what we’ve got, yada yada. Basically, future looks awesome.”
Anyway, that’s what’s happening. It’s like passing the torch, but more like a flaming baton in a game they’ve been acing for years.
