I was gonna talk about Borderlands 4, and then I got caught up in the quirks of these new characters — and oh boy, it’s a trip. So, Gearbox is throwing some wild stuff our way. We’ve got four new Vault Hunters and, honestly, they’re bringing some serious baggage with them. Kinda makes you wonder if therapy is included in the DLC, right?
First up, there’s Vex, the Siren. She’s definitely got some history. I mean, she’s sarcastic and has a rough background — classic. Unlike Lilith, who was all about stealth and explosions, Vex is a bit more battle-worn. Maybe it’s all intentional. Or maybe she just didn’t vibe with the universe’s version of a self-help book. Sirens, am I right? Anyway — wait, no — what was I even saying?
Rafa, the military dude, he’s ex-Tediore, not your average soldier type like Roland was. This guy’s turning the whole “survival” thing into a fashion statement with that exosuit. And now I can’t help but picture him joined at the hip with his gear like some sci-fi buddy cop movie. Total vibe shift.
Then there’s Harlowe. Now, here’s someone who tinkers with gizmos and gravity. She’s like that one kid in school who actually enjoyed science class, but with guns. Elemental havoc is her game, and somehow, she’s making it look cool. It’s kinda like watching a tech nerd start a bonfire, with lasers. Who knew?
Oh, Amon. This guy’s something else. A warrior-poet with a shield. Wait, did I just say “warrior-poet”? Yeah, I did. That’s what we’ve got here. Shields in Borderlands? Sure, why not. Gives me those “unexpected but kinda genius” vibes.
The old Borderlands crew was straightforward: punch, shoot, survive. But now, they’ve got personalities — who’d have thought?! It feels like Gearbox sat down and figured players might want, you know, substance or something. Go figure.
Customization’s off the charts too. Three Action Skills per character? I mean, how many gamers are just gonna switch as they please? It’s like they’re daring us to mix things up and I’m here for it.
All in all, Borderlands 4 is doing this dance between keeping things familiar and flipping the script. Chaotic goodness, deeper stories, and—oh, right! Loot-capades continue. Guess we’ll see how it all lands, but hey, isn’t the chaos half the fun?
