Okay, picture this: so I’m sitting there watching the Future Games Show. You know, minding my own business, when bam! They drop this thing called “Reach” from nDreams Elevation. And yeah, it’s VR. Full-on parkour action and these gigantic enemies. Wild stuff, honestly.
Now, if you’re like me, you might be wondering, “Who the heck is nDreams Elevation?” Turns out, they’re a part of nDreams and they got together back in 2022. Kind of like, their first big splash, you know? And they’re all like, “This is it, our biggest game ever!” No pressure, right?
So apparently, this game’s all about speed. Like, running, jumping, zip-lining—like you just chugged five energy drinks or something. It’s coming to every VR headset you can think of, plus some that aren’t even out yet. I guess they’re breaking out the big guns with something called “mythical threats.” No clue what that means, but it sounds epic.
Then there’s this trailer, right? Shows people doing all these stunts, reminding me of their old games, Fracked and Synapse. I couldn’t help but think, “Are they trying to make me break a sweat just by watching?”
Oh, and guess who steps up to bat? Shuhei Yoshida. Yeah, the Shu. The guy’s a legend in gaming. He gives Reach this big thumbs up, and I’m like, “Well, if Shu says it’s cool…” Seriously though, the dude knows his stuff.
And there’s Glenn Brace from nDreams Elevation, going on about how they want players to feel “present, powerful, and in control.” I mean, who doesn’t like a bit of power-trip fantasy now and then? Plus, they’re about to spill more beans on June 10th at some VR Developer Direct thingy.
Honestly, can’t wait to try this once it hits stores. Or well, digital shelves—I think it’s up for wishlisting already. So yeah, whether you’re on Quest, PSVR 2, or PC, seems like there’s a spot for you to dive into this adventure.
