Earlier today, the Elden Ring Nightreign servers blinked out for an hour or so. Maintenance, they said — getting ready for some shiny new patch. Or not so shiny, really, just a little guy: version 1.01.2. Let’s be honest, the excitement levels are… meh.
This patch isn’t about fireworks but bug fixes and a few nerfs. One of these nerfs—well, you might not have even noticed it. Funny how that happens, right?
Oh, hold up—need to talk cookies and stuff. The kind you can’t eat, sadly. Anyway, moving on.
Last week’s 1.01.1 was on June 2, and had some exciting stuff. Not this time. Just two balance changes worth a heads-up. Apparently, there was this bug making ‘Add (Magic/Lightning/Holy) to Weapon’ way too beefy. Mostly for bows. Funny, ‘cause everyone’s been all about bows lately.
If you were on that bow hype, ouch, this might sting. Was it a bug boosting their power? Yep, and now they’ve nixed it. Then, another tweak—certain weapon skills were causing chaos by powering up attacks more than they should. It made those weapons like mini powerhouses. No more, though.
Oh, check out that pic of the Recluse in Limgrave. Sky’s all purpley—kinda neat if you ask me. FromSoft’s squashing problems faster than a cat catching a mouse.
Elsewhere in this patch, now weapons with Projectile Damage Drop-Off Reduced are back in chests and being dropped by baddies. Oh, and the Demon Merchant’s playing nice again, so no more missing when you need him.
Full change log goes like this:
– Fixed a boost issue with passive effects on bows.
– Corrected a power boost from non-direct attacks.
– Ensured weapons appear in loot pools.
– Demon Merchant’s back like he should be.
– Libra’s repetitive nonsense? Fixed.
– Stopped game crashes during battles.
Dev notes wrapped up saying, “Hey, bugs be like hydras — cut one, two more might pop up.” So, stay tuned for more bug battles.
And hey, maybe the downtime gave folks time to crack the mystery of Nightreign’s rare item. Or maybe not. But worry not, our trusty Elden Ring Nightreign guide’s always around. Questions? It’s got you.
