You know what the G stands for, right? Anyway—so here we are, swimming in a sea of emails, trying to dig ourselves out. James, bless him, is MIA this week. Ah, back to the dignified, or maybe chaotic, conversations only Jon can lead. Because, why not?
We’re diving back—yep, like diving headfirst—into Jon’s wild GameStop saga. Seriously, Pro Memberships, anyone? It’s like a secret club with buttons and, probably, exclusive discounts. Side note: who else thinks GameStop has some kind of mysterious aura about it? Or maybe that’s just me. Anyway—oh wait—Switch 2! Yeah, games we’d love to see upgraded for this. Anyone else dreaming of re-living those classics? Some deserve a second life, right?
Oh, and F-Zero GX! Whoa, talk about a game that doesn’t play nice. It’s like it takes pleasure in our pain. Can we talk about that? Kind of like sardonic laughter in a digital form. And Nintendo—what’s the deal with their virtual consoles these days? Are new games showing up, or are they just teasing? Plus, imagine a modern Princess Peach adventure. Like, seriously, what would that even look like? Wouldn’t mind seeing, or playing that!
Side note: Git Gud. Or wait, Git Gui’d? Is that a thing now? Learn those tracks, and maybe don’t screw up like last time. Oh dear.
Okay, winding down here. Guillaume gave this thing a good edit. And, oh, “Men of Leisure” by Perry Burkum is our jam. Catch it online if you’re curious. Connor Strickland did our logo—check him out if you ever need one. And Greg, always the music guy, chose “Birdman” from Pilotwings 64 for the finale. All Nintendo’s rights and stuff.
And hey, if you made it through this rollercoaster of a write-up, gold star for you!
