Alright, so here’s the scoop on Title Update 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds. Capcom tossed a whole heap of details on us during their June Spotlight showcase. Like, it was a lot. So, this update’s a biggie.
First off, mark your calendars or whatever—Title Update 2 is dropping on Monday, June 30. Expect the game to be down for a bit, ’cause you know, maintenance stuff.
Let’s dive into the good bits. The headline news? New monsters! We’re talking Lagiacrus and Seregios. Lagiacrus even brings, wait for it, underwater combat. Yeah, you heard me. You’ll be seeing fishes up close after doing the main mission, A World Turned Upside Down, plus a side bit called Forest Doshaguma. Just gotta be at Hunter Rank 31 or above.
Seregios is gonna be there too, chilling at the same rank. And both come with neat new armors to craft. Plus, there’s the Tempered versions for those who like a challenge. They pop up if you’re fancy enough to be rank 41 or higher.
Oh, and they’re tossing in an Arch-tempered Uth Duna. But that’s like late July. For those hardcore souls at HR 50 plus, right?
Crafting’s getting a shake-up, too. Layered weapons are in, so now your blade can look fly without losing its stats. Craft the top weapon in any tree, and you’re good to go. Just need it to be Rarity 8 if you’re using Artian Weapons. Make sense? Moving on.
Other bits include switching your main handler to Erik—no offense, Alma—and a cool support hunter with Sword & Shield action.
Oh, and there’s a seasonal event coming, like a cherry on top. Festival of Accord: Flamefete! Some time between July 23 and August 6. New armor, new decorations, and the Grand Hub gets all dressed up. It’s the whole shebang, with special grub at the cantina thrown in.
By the way, Capcom teased Title Update 3 for September. More monsters, more festivals—just more.
Weird times, though. Wilds had this massive launch but lately, it’s not looking great. Steam numbers are tanking under Monster Hunter World’s levels from 2018. Oof.
So, can Title Update 2 turn things around? No clue, but player vibes are gonna be interesting to see. Anyway, that’s the spill. Stay tuned or whatever you do.
