Hey, so ININ, Tozai Games, Irem, and those Strictly Limited guys are gearing up to drop something cool next week. Yeah, IREM Collection Volume 3. Boom, both digital and physical copies for all you console junkies. You gotta check it out.
Okay, imagine this: three arcade shooters packed into one collection: Mr. Heli, Mystic Riders, and Dragon —err, Dragon Breed, whatever that means. Anyway, it’s magic, machines, mayhem. Crazy stuff.
Mr. Heli (Battle Chopper): So here’s Mr. Heli. He’s like, a helicopter with legs and a trigger-happy nature? You probably never thought of that, either did I! This one’s from 1987, flying around, shooting, solving puzzles… One moment you’re mining crystals, next you’re battling bosses. A trippy arcade world.
Mystic Riders: Fast forward to 1992. You’re on a broomstick in Mystic Riders. Yeah, a broomstick. Fighting sky turtles, fiery demons, and… who knows what else. Maybe dodge-roll or use your broom as a weapon? Quite the image, isn’t it? Grab a buddy too. You can be Mark the wizard or Zeal the witch. Quirky fun times.
Dragon Breed: Now, for the finale, we jump to 1989 with Dragon Breed. You’re riding a dragon, Bahamoot. Cool, right? I always wanted to ride a dragon. It’s fantasy meets R-Type — apocalyptic dragons with, um, wings? No idea why I remember this detail.
Anyway — hold up, back to the features! You got rapid-fire buttons, customizable controls, quick saves? Ha, perfect if you’re like me and get destroyed by pixelated enemies. Filter options to make it all look vintage or whatever. Plus leaderboards. Gotta show off your score, right?
And Mystic Riders has 2-player co-op. Obviously, right? Because who wouldn’t want to ride broomsticks with a friend? Total madness — and somehow legendary. Or just bizarre.
Oh, and we’re definitely reviewing this over at PS4Blog.net. Stick around, or don’t. Whatever works.
