So, Sid and Tim are back again talking about how System Shock 2 basically laid the groundwork for, like, everything in gaming. No idea when the original came out, honestly. Also, they’re going on about the stuff they caught at Summer Game Fest 2025. Wait — can you believe it’s already 2025?! Feels like just yesterday we were all freaking out about Y2K. Anyway, there’s some other gaming stuff they’re into now, too.
And now for some random highlights… or not random? Whatever. Next week’s releases are:
-
Ruffy And The Riverside on PS5. No clue what that’s about, but it sounds fun? Riverside might mean water. Or rivers.
-
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster on PS5, PS4. So okay, this one we’ve been waiting for, right? Guess that means it originally released… quick math… in like 2000? Mind blown.
-
Black Desert on PS5. Sand everywhere, probably. Could be wrong.
- Death Stranding 2: On The Beach for PS5. Seriously, is this all happening on a beach? Sounds sandy. Or maybe it’s metaphorical. Possibly not on a literal beach. Who knows, really.
Also, PS Store’s got its Mid-Year Deals—up to 70% off?! Bet their servers catch fire with people racing to buy stuff until July 2.
There’s this thing called Ghost of Yōtei by Sucker Punch. They’re, like, figuring out how to forage in Hokkaido or something? If we all learned ancient foraging, maybe we’d fare better in the wild.
Oh, and there’s this fun new thing, Climate Station. It’s some sort of climate science interactive story on PS5 and PS VR2. Probably more facts than you’d get in a boring lecture — not that I’d know or anything.
The stars of the show:
-
Sid Shuman – Tosses words around as Senior Director of Content Communications, whatever that means.
- Tim Turi – Cloud-wrangler, ‘Content Communications Manager.’ Yep, they manage a lot of content, I guess?
Big shoutout to Dormilón for the theme jams and show tunes. Keeps the vibe going.
(Editor’s note: Things like release dates change. Surprises everywhere, right? They pull these details from press releases and rating descriptions.)
Okay, that’s it. Or maybe not. Depends on your perspective.
