New Nintendo Releases – April 10, 2025 – Update

After enduring a wildly chaotic week, we’re easing back into the usual rhythm on the original Switch.

There were a few things that slipped through the cracks last week, such as Namco’s Assault Plus in the Archives. Just thinking about last week can be condensed into, "Wow, that really happened." With all the buzz from the Switch 2 Direct and the subsequent chaos primarily revolving around 20500, a week filled with eShop offerings now seems almost quaint in comparison. But, there are a few standout games coming our way. One that caught my eye was Star Overdrive, a hovercraft-centric game briefly featured in a Direct—that was only a week and a half ago, though it feels much longer. Additionally, Battlefield Waltz from Idea Factory/Otomate is hitting shelves, but it’s worth watching for any day-one patches—I’ll be keeping an eye out for those patches myself.

In the list of other notable releases this week, you have the "Promise Mascot Agency," a fresh Snow Bros. game, and the week’s EggConsole offering is a simplistic maze game from 1983, making Pyramid Warp a safe pick for those outside Japan.
