I wandered into the Marvel Cosmic Invasion announcement room, and wow, were there some heavy hitters. Captain America, She-Hulk, Spider-Man, Wolverine — they’re all here. Oh, and these two new guys. Random thought, I sometimes wonder if these characters just hang out off-screen, chatting about capes and stuff.
Anyway, so there’s this dude, Beta Ray Bill. Ever heard of him? He’s like Thor but, y’know, cybernetic and with a face kinda like a horse. Weird, right? From some place called Korbinite. He’s swinging around this hammer, Stormbreaker. Just thinking about it makes me hear thunder, or maybe it’s because it’s raining outside. Did you know he once held Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir? Bet that caused some drama back in the comic days.
Oh! Then there’s the Silver Surfer, gliding in on his shiny board. Picture this: space bugs and him just going all cosmic on them — Power Cosmic style. Annihilus’ army probably doesn’t stand a chance. Maybe surf’s up in outer space? No idea why that popped into my head.
And yeah, Comic-Con had more juicy bits to spill, like who’s lending their voices to these otherworldly tales. Just imagining them brings the characters to life. Sure, I get sidetracked easily, but focusing on who’s behind the magic is half the fun.
Finally, for those itching to play, Marvel Cosmic Invasion is gearing up for a release. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, PCs, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. When? Sometime later this year. Maybe before it snows again? Or not. Who knows.
