Did you manage to snag a pre-order for the Nintendo Switch 2? If you did, there’s some exciting news: Sonic is set to join the lineup on launch day! SEGA recently revealed that "Sonic X Shadow Generations" will be available on June 5th.
Sonic will be joining other anticipated titles like "Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut" and "Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S" for the Switch 2 debut. You can already pre-order both physical and digital versions of these games.
Sonic X Shadow Generations offers a fresh twist with Shadow taking on a new story campaign showcasing unique abilities that justify his Ultimate Life Form title. Plus, you’ll get a revamped version of "Sonic Generations," featuring a thrilling mix of time-travel adventures packed with iconic 3D and 2D Sonic levels, all enhanced with stunning visuals and additional bonus content.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2S invites players to dive into its vibrant puzzling fun. There’s a new "Puyo Tetris Doubles" mode, which lets players engage in 2v2 battles using a single board to create incredible combos. The game supports local and online modes for up to four players and features a roster of 40 characters, including Sonic the Hedgehog, each with unique stats and abilities.
Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut presents the ultimate version of the popular origin story from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s Yakuza series, now revamped for the Nintendo Switch 2. This edition boasts never-before-seen story cutscenes, a "Red Light Raid" multiplayer mode for teaming up with friends against waves of enemies, and it includes English and Chinese voiceovers alongside subtitles in French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.
You can also pre-order "Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army," which is set to release on June 19th. Plus, keep an eye out for "Two Point Museum" coming later this year.
