You know how sometimes you’re at a convention, just wandering around, when something wild happens? So there’s this actor, Matt Ryan, right? He’s the dude from Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag — yeah, the pirate one from 2013. Anyway, he’s doing a signing thing, just chilling, and some fan asks him about replaying the game. Out of nowhere, he kinda hints — maybe? — at a remake or remaster. Fans are buzzing, like bees or something. But here’s the kicker: Ubisoft, the game company, flips out, threatening legal stuff. Seriously.
So this TikToker, kylo_hd659, catches all this on video at Comic Con Manchester. Ryan’s chatting away and — whooops! — didn’t realize he’s being recorded. Now Ubisoft’s all lawyer-y towards him. Ryan, smartly, decides to zip it. Pretty awkward, right? He mentions, “The thing is, when that happened, someone was doing this and I was being very free and open, and I didn’t know they were recording me on their phone. Then the company threatened to sue me. So I say nothing.”
Oh, and he even points right at the camera during all this. Kind of makes you wonder if he’s hinting or just frustrated — a little mystery for our Monday morning. Promise we’re trying to get a scoop from Ubisoft; who knows if they’ll spill the beans.
Meanwhile, Matt’s moved on from the pirate gig. These days he’s into all things John Constantine, like in DC shows and animated stuff. Legends of Tomorrow, ever heard of it? And animated films, too. Ahem, James Gunn, if you’re ever thinking of DC Universe movies… how about bringing Ryan back? Consider it my personal request. Cheers to that.
