Latios Arrives in Pokémon UNITE on July 18

The Pokémon Company’s throwing a bit of a party, or, well, a virtual one—aren’t they all these days? Anyway—no, seriously—on July 18, they’re saying, “Hey, let’s spice it up,” and bringing in Latios to Pokémon UNITE. Four years, huh? Time flies when you’re battling pocket monsters.

Latios, if you don’t remember—why would you?—first showed up in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Now, it’s going to show Aeos Island what’s what in those wild battle arenas. Always exciting when a classic comes back, right?

“The Pokemon UNITE 4th Anniversary begins on July 18!” was something I saw on social media—you know, where all the official and unofficial info comes from. They said more details are on the way. Hopefully something juicy.

And if you didn’t know, which is odd, UNITE is free. No strings—just head to the Nintendo eShop on your Switch, or grab it on iOS via the App Store, or Android through Google Play. Just watch out, these games can be as addictive as… pancakes? If pancakes were pixelated and fought each other.
