Oh man, where do I even start with this? So, “Grit and Valor – 1949” is getting VR. Yeah, VR! It’s like, you can almost feel the thrill of commanding mechs right in front of you. Anyway—wait, did I mention it’s dropping on Quest, PSVR 2, and SteamVR? Not totally sure why I’m excited, but hey, it’s something!
Picture this: back on good old PC, earlier this year, people were already getting their hands dirty with this game. Tiny mechs, elite squadrons—sounds like a Saturday morning cartoon dream. You’re up against the, uh, Evil Axis? Gotta topple them, liberate Europe. No pressure, right?
Oh, and you get to mess around choosing mech combat styles and even messing around with those diverse pilots. There’s this whole bit about upgrading mechs too. Like, you can swap cockpits, wings (do they even have wings?), and load them up with enough gadgets to scare off any axis of evil!
The brains behind this, Milky Tea Studios, teamed up with this other gang, nDreams. Not gonna lie, I’d never heard of them, but seems they know their way around VR. You’re in the thick of things now, right there in the heat, controlling everything with your own hands. Kinda feels like magic, yeah?
Mark your calendars for August 21st. That’s when it’s all happening, across the Horizon Store for Quest 2 owners and—you lucky folks with a PS5 or PSVR 2. Steam users aren’t left out either, free update incoming. Just a little closer, and you’ll be shouting orders in a VR battlefield. Okay, maybe not shouting, but you get my drift.
