Zoom App Arrives on Quest, Allowing Avatar-Based Work Meetings

Man, so here’s the weird scoop—Meta’s like, “Hey, guess what? We shoved Zoom into the Horizon Store!” So now, your Quest avatar can pop into meetings. Like, seriously, I’m just picturing my avatar awkwardly waving in the corner while everyone else is looking suspiciously normal.

This isn’t a brand new thing though. Back in 2021, they smooshed Zoom into Horizon Workrooms. It was more for those VR face-to-face chats, which was cool if you wanted your webcam pals to join in without feeling left out. But now, if you’re feeling lazy and just wanna Zoom, there’s a standalone app. And it’s free! Who doesn’t love free stuff, right?
