Okay, so SEGA just dropped this juicy tidbit about their new game, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. It’s got one of those free demos on the Nintendo eShop. You know the type. It’s for the Nintendo Switch, by the way.
You ever just jump into a game and get lost? Well, in this one, you stumble into the first stage, Oboro Village. It’s kind of like, you’re fighting bad guys and leaping over stuff. Oh, and there’s this whole arcade score thing going on—shoot for the stars, folks. They even hinted, I think, that you get some wicked abilities that usually don’t show up till later. Sneaky!
Now, the game’s got this crazy unique art thing happening. Lizardcube helped out—those folks sure know how to draw. The story? Classic revenge tale. Joe Musashi, our ninja pro, comes home to find everything torched and his people turned to stone. What a greeting, right?
He’s off on this wild journey, squaring off against these epic bosses and, frankly, the world is just a visual treat. There’s paths to wander down, some you unlock—like, surprise!—as you go.
So SEGA talks up some cool features:
– You get to run through more than a dozen different stages. Or maybe it’s less. Lost count. From military places to deserts. The platform puzzles are the real kicker.
– Ninja skills? Oh yeah. You’re swinging a katana, tossing kunai. Ninja magic—Ninjutsu, Ninpo. It’s action-packed, people!
– Combos galore. Combine moves, grab these things called Amulets for boosts, and snag Ningi tools if you’re feeling adventurous.
Anyway, the main game hits the eShop (for everyone with a Switch) on 29 August 2025. Mark it down, or don’t. Your call.
And there’s a trailer somewhere. Plus, thanks to tech wizardry, plenty of screenshots floating around. Go check ’em out!
