New Season 1 Perk for Black Ops 6 Zombies Appears Predictable

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has hit the ground running with its debut season already packing a punch. Just weeks after its official launch, Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is bringing an array of new features including multiplayer maps, game modes, and fresh content for Call of Duty: Warzone. Thankfully, Zombies mode isn’t overlooked this time around, unlike what we saw with last year’s Modern Warfare 3.

In an exciting addition, Season 1 of Black Ops 6 has introduced the highly-anticipated Directed Mode for Zombies. This new feature offers a more accessible way for newcomers to navigate and earn the major Easter eggs in Terminus and Liberty Falls. But Season 1 is just getting started. The upcoming mid-season update promises a wealth of new content for the Zombies mode, with the spotlight on a brand-new map called Citadelle des Morts. This update also ushers in a new Wonder Weapon and enemy type. Plus, as revealed in the official Season 1 roadmap, Zombies mode is set to gain "an additional Perk-a-Cola." The choice of words here suggests we might be seeing a reincarnation of a classic Perk rather than a brand-new one. There are a few fan favorites that might be making a comeback.

Recently, there have been some intriguing leaks around the new perks headed to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies. It’s worth noting that these rumors could potentially involve content that was initially planned but later scrapped from the game. Nevertheless, five perks are speculated to be in the mix for Black Ops 6:

• Double Tap
• Mule Kick
• Death Perception
• Tombstone

Vulture Aid made its debut in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and was featured in just one Zombies map. This perk allowed players to see wall weapons, the Pack-a-Punch machine, and the Mystery Box through walls, while also occasionally receiving small ammo packs, bonus points, and a brief escape from zombies via green gas clouds. It’s quite surprising given its unique abilities.

Double Tap was once a cornerstone of Call of Duty Zombies but hasn’t resurfaced since Black Ops 3. The original version increased rate-of-fire, while Double Tap 2.0, seen in Black Ops 2 and 3, doubled weapon damage by firing two rounds for the price of one. Mule Kick, another key perk, empowers players with the option to wield an additional weapon.

Death Perception, a relatively recent perk, is often seen as the weakest, simply allowing players to see zombies through walls. Conversely, Tombstone, while divisive, offers more utility by enabling players to retrieve their perks and weapons posthumously.

The new Zombies perk will also be accessible in Liberty Falls and Terminus through the Wunderfizz machine. However, only one perk will make an appearance in this season. Although Vulture Aid’s return would be welcomed after a long hiatus, Double Tap and Mule Kick are arguably more pragmatic choices for Season 1.

Black Ops 6 carries the trademark intense narrative and cutting-edge gameplay experiences that the franchise is renowned for. Fans will enjoy testing their skills across 16 new maps, featuring both traditional 6v6 and innovative 2v2 or 6v6 Strike maps.
